Max Scherzer baby came into this world on the same day of the high-intensity match between Washington Nationals and Miami Marlins on Sunday.. Max Scherzer, the right-handed player for the Nationals, was in impressive form and played like his life was on the line.

With the game expanding for about 2 hours and 37 minutes, Scherzer was in his peak form while playing against the Marlins. Sunday marked the 12th complete game in his career. His stellar performance propelled the Washington Nationals to a spectacular 3-1 victory.

36-year old Scherzer took a shutout in the ninth innings. Moreover, he only allowed a mere five hits along with one home run.  His exemplary performance on the field was the highlight of the play and was much appreciated by the fans.

However, the man of the hour was seen rushing out after delivering the final out. Before launching into gossip about his abrupt exit, it is vital to know that it was for a good reason. Turns out, the match wasn’t his only prideful moment of the weekend. Erica, Scherzer’s wife, went into labor. She was pregnant with the couple’s third child. They already have two beautiful daughters and were expecting a baby boy this time. Erica gave birth to a baby boy and Max Scherzer baby became internet sensation within few minutes.

Dave Martinez, manager of the Nationals, approved the efforts of Scherzer. He had the opinion that as a starting pitcher, it was vital to have good first-pitch strikes. Scherzer had 23 out of 31 in the first-pitch strikes.

After his subpar performance in the previous match against the Toronto Blue Jays, it was important for Scherzer to rebound. And, rebound he did, that too with such an impressive form! He struck out excellently nine batters of Marlines without the walk. It hadn’t happened since 2015.

However, it was simply another remarkable match for a player who has given exemplary performances before as well. Since he was signed to the Nationals in 2015 with a $210 million deal for 7 years, he has proved his worth repeatedly.

Nevertheless, this win pushed the Washington Nationals in the first place in the NL East Division. Moreover, it was a fourth consecutive win for the Nationals and a prideful moment for the fans as well. It has uplifted their record to a stunning 12-12.

Though Scherzer was clearly the man of the day, support without other team members was impossible. Ryan Zimmerman provided excellent backup to Scherzer in the game. His three-run homer offered ample support to Max in the third innings.

Zimmerman was clearly in awe of the way Scherzer played on Sunday. He thought it was a typical aspect of Scherzer to play with such a level-headed coolness on a day he was going to be a father. Surely, Scherzer did not let his nerves distract him from delivering such an impressive performance on the field. That has justly won him the admiration of Zimmerman. He mentioned that the way Scherzer palsy never ceases to fill him with amazement.

The Washington Nationals are presently at the top of the NL East with 12-12. They will also host the upcoming Braves on Tuesday, scheduled at 7:05 p.m. ET.
