Jose Altuve gifted himself sweet revenge by taunting Yankees Fans on his birthday

3 min read

It was cruel and not fit, but the second baseman of Houston Astros, Jose Altuve, refused to cave into the taunts of Yankees fans. Instead, he decided to gift himself revenge against the fan on his birthday.

Altuve ruined every fan’s antics present at the Yankee Stadium with just one magnificent swing of the bat. He did this by scoring a 7-4 victory of Astros over the New York Yankees. Then, by rounding the bases, he made sure to get his sweet redemption this Thursday.

The home run he made was almost as dramatic as his American League Pennant Game 6 of the Championship Series 2019.

In one of his interviews, Altuve said that have you ever spent your 31st birthday in between a near-sellout audience shouting your birthday? Or have you spent three days listening to Yankees fans while they are viciously mocking, booing, or cursing your name?

He added, no one likes to be booed by anybody. He just thinks of himself as a guy who wants to go out on the field and help his team win. So it does not matter what place it is because it’s going to be the same for him.

It was only Jose Altuve who downplayed the whole revenge thing, but the others did not.

Astros Starter Lance McCullers said it meant a lot for all the people present on the dugout to see Altuve hit the home run. Moreover, he is sure he felt the same, especially on his birthday. He said that it was the first time he hit a home run on his birthday. But it could have been a wedding anniversary for the Yankee Stadium’s beer vendor, and they would have felt the same feelings.

Astros manager Dusty Baker showed his emotion by hugging Jose Altuve in the dugout. He said to him, he could not have scripted in a better way than this one, and it’s pretty big, real big, and huge.

He added, everyone present in the dugout felt very happy when the home run quieted the Yankees fan for the time. Also, he is one of the best men he wants to meet in the game.

Even though Yankees fans were the ones who voiced their feeling against the Astros the whole series, but it was Altuve who laughed at them at last.

When Altuve stepped on the field, the Astros stood at 3-2 in their eighth inning. The fans cursed him as soon as he stepped on the plate, just like they were doing all week. Altuve worked with Baseball pitcher Chad Green to make a full count.

Altuve kept on swinging while Green came back and shot a 96-mph fastball. It was high, eye-level, and almost above his head level.

He striked the ball, and it landed almost 404 Ft away into the left-field bleacher. The shot completely silenced the crowd at once.

Altuve shared, it was a great feeling; they were trying very hard to win the game. They knew they were losing, but they flipped the game around. He thinks it was pretty huge.
