The IFAF Flag Football World Championship of 2021 head to Israel this December

The IFAF is selecting Israel or The International Federation of American Football to host the World Championship of the Flag Football in Jerusalem at the Kraft Family Sports Campus this December from 6th to 8th, 2021. The tournament will take place for three days and is expected to attract more than forty teams from all over thirty countries in the world competing for the spot and the world title in The World Games 2022.
This is a bi-annual tournament and was initially scheduled to be held in 2020 in Denmark. But the event was postponed because of the pandemic caused by the Covid-19. The most successful in 2019 was the European Championship that the Kraft Family Sports Campus hosted.
According to a recent interview of Richard Maclean, the IFAF President, one of the iconic venues for Flag Football is the Kraft Family Sports Campus in Jerusalem. He also added that he is looking forward to seeing the finest flag football players of the world coming together, and that is going to represent one of the significant events undoubtedly. He also claims the competition to be tremendous because the teams compete to secure their places at the World Games. Among all the groups, one team will earn the honor of the IFAF Flag Football World Championship crown.
Robert Kraft, the owner of New England, is the lead sponsor for the World Championship. He is the one who keeps on supporting American Football in Israel for a long time.
According to Robert Kraft, the CEO and the Kraft Group chairman, everyone loves the American Football Game. Everyone is equally proud to see the popularity of the sport continuing to grow internationally in various forms, which even includes flag football. He also added that when Kraft Group invested in the Sports Campus of the Kraft Family, it was with a simple hope that it would simply not end up being only the location for daily competition and exercises. They also wanted this destination to be perfect for the championship-level competition when league football is considered throughout Europe and the Middle East. In 2021, the FFWC or the Flag Football Word Championship has taken one of the added significance. The significance states that, for the first time in the history of The World Games, flag football will be included, and it will be played in Birmingham- the U.S city, Alabama in 2022 July. There will be a limitation in the World Games 2022 football competition to the top eight women and men’s flag football teams overall, and the teams will be selected by deploying on the final placement at the World Championship of 2021. The NFL is presenting the inclusion of American Football in 2022 at the World Games.
It is expected that 800 players and the officials and coaches are expected to be attending this event. It is going to take place at the Ramada Royal hotels and the Ramada Residence.
