The IPL 2021, the second match, opened at the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai, with Chennai super kings clashing against the runner-up of the last season, which is the Delhi capitals. The Chennai super kings completed their ipl 2020 with the sixth position and overlooked their opportunity to qualify on the elimination round for the first time in their former times.  Nevertheless, their hopes are rejuvenated with Suresh Raina’s comeback, who did not participate in the last season because of his personal reasons. He has gained his reputation as one of his team’s outstanding players in the last season by scoring 232 runs from 14 matches at a strike rate of 171.85 with one half-century. However, he couldn’t give a good performance as a bowler as he picked up only six wickets which need to be improved in the future.

Suresh Raina

Raina did not participate in the last season of the ipl, which was held in the UAE, due to personal reasons. This season, Raina returns to the ipl with profitable experience of scoring 5368 runs from 193 ipl matches.

He is experienced enough to deal with all types of match situations as he had been a part of several ipl winning CSK teams.

Raina, who is at no three, can perform as the ideal presenter in the CSK squad and also gives the opportunity to players such as Moeen, Sam Curran and Gowtham to play in their individual style.

Sam Curran

With 186 runs in the last seasons, a total of 281 runs from 23 matches at a strike rate of 143.36, Curran is regarded as an asset to the CSK team ever since he joined it. He is capable of swinging the new ball and bowl perfectly, which makes him a powerful and versatile player. He has a record of 23 wickets from all the matches that he has played.
