Leicester City finally beats up Manchester United and is all set to play for the FA Cup semi-final. The match will be played against Southampton. On the other hand, Chelsea will be facing Manchester City in the last four encounters.

Kelechi Iheanacho’s double sealed win of 3-1 made Leicester defeat Manchester United and send them out of the FA Cup. Chelsea is going to face Manchester City after defeating Sheffield United this Sunday.  The match between Chelsea and Manchester City will be the semi-final. Brendan Rodger’s side is looking forward to meeting Southampton in the semi-final of the FA cup in 1982. All thanks to the predatory Iheanacho for finishing at the King Power Stadium. Leicester was put ahead in the 100th game of Rodgers, which was in charge. There was equalization by Mason Greenwood in the first half. Youri Tielemans restored Leicester’s lead, and Iheancho, who is the Nigeria striker, managed to wrap up the second win in twenty-three years over Manchester United. It was also their first from 2014.

There was a record of Leicester not winning the FA Cup. they also made it to the finals in the year 1969. They will be heading to Wembley in April in order to face Southampton.

According to Rodgers, he is delighted and is praising the excellent performance. All the aspects of the game were completed as per him. He also added that they showed the courage to have been playing against one of the greatest teams of Europe. He also motivated the players by telling them that they were just three games away from creating history. But now it has been reduced to two as per their performance.

The United’s limp exit ended their away games that were twenty-nine in number without a single defeat in all the domestic competitions. It was since the loss in 2020 January at Liverpool.

Since the Europa League in the year 2017, there was no trophy, and that competition is now considered the last realistic chance to win the first silverware of the reign of boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

According to Solskjaer, there was no spark in them, and it was obviously understandable. He also claimed that they were playing every three days, and it was considered as their incredible run. Everything just caught up with them, be it all the games and travels.

Solskjaer also expressed in the excitement that Thursday at Milan was one of the big nights, and it took a lot of energy from them physically. They did not have the extra authority, confidence, and zip. He also added that they had got the Premier League and the Europa League to concentrate on, and they would have definitely liked to go to Wembley, but all their focus is now on the games they are having.

Solskjaer made five significant changes after they had reached the quarter-finals of the Europa League with a substantial win in the midweek at AC Milan. The line-up of the United’s reshuffled was never looking comfortable.

Fred had to pay the price for an unfortunate mistake in the twenty-four minutes.
