Latest news about the 2021 IPL auction

The auction list of VIVO IPL 2021 player list is declared with a total number of 292 cricketers who are all set to go under the protocols in Chennai on 18th of February, 2021. There is a total of 1114 cricketers who had registered their name for the auction already. The finalized list has been set by the eight franchises who have submitted their finalized list of players. 

A total of 2 crores has been set as the highest reserve price. Players like Kedav Jadhav, Harbhajan Singh, Steve Smith, Moeen Ali, Glenn Maxwell, Shakib Al Hasan, Jason Roy, Sam Billings, Mark Wood and Jason Roy has been set chosen to be in the highest margin. 

There are also twelve of the players who are on the list of the auction with a base price of INR 1.5 crores. Umesh Yadav and Hanuma Vihari are both the players who are on the list of the crickets with INR 1 crore as the base price. There are 125 overseas players, 164 Indian players and a total of 3 players from the Associate Nations who will be selected in the VIVO IPL 2021 auction for players in Chennai. The auction for the players is about to start from 3 pm on the 18th of February.

 According to reports, the highest number of vacancies that are available are for the Royal Challengers Bangalore team and the lowest vacancies available is for the Sunrisers Hyderabad team. 

The team that is going for the highest purse into the auction is Kings XI Punjab of Rs. 53.1 crores. As per reports the team has released some the renowned players like Sheldon Cottrell and Glenn Maxwell. On the other hand, Sunrisers Hyderabad is expected to spend a very little amount of less than Rs. 11 crores. Chennai Super Kings is going to have a very interesting auction as they have seven slots to fill in with Rs. 22.7 crore purse. 

CSK has released both Jadhav as well as Harbhajan from the team this year. 

Another big news, Arjun Tendulkar- son of Sachin Tendulkar is the left-arm fast bowler who is been included in the shortlisted list. He will belong to the minimum base price category of Rs. 20 lakh. 

There is a mini-auction which will be held before IPL 2021 and a big amount of money is set to be splashed as the renowned teams are going on for changes. Some of the teams that are going on for the changes are Royal Challengers Bangalore, Rajasthan Royals and King XI Punjab.
