Last week there was a healthy disagreement between Jared Goff and Sean McVay about Goff’s fitness to return from his surgery, says both. However this week they are in correspondence that Goff is the best choice to lead Ram’s Playoff.

McVay announced: Goff will initiate Los Angeles Ram’s postseason game held at Green Bay on Saturday. At the same time, you will not see John Wolford for one week as he has injured his neck.

The Rams (11-6) make his way to Lambeau Field to confront top-seeded Packers (13-3) behind Goff. Goff has a history of starting 73 of Los Angeles’ last 76 playoffs since he first appeared as an amateur in late 2016. He also led the Ram’s to a 30-20 playoff success in Seattle last week when Wolford left in the middle with a stinger.

On Dec 28 when Goff broke his right thumb and got surgery, he thought he was good to play again. But Wolford got to lead the last two Ram’s playoff. As now Wolford is also recovering this week, the decision who will lead the next game came in McVay’s hands. So, the final decision was, Goff would return to the first lineup in the Wisconsin cold opposite to Green Bay’s excellent defence.

Goff informed his fans on Thursday that he is in the right place and feels better. There is a bit of soreness, but it will not come in a midway or hinder things in any kind. Overall he is set for the game.

Goff added, after the surgery, his thumb has two screws in it that will continue to stay until he is under 6 Ft. But he still feels he is fit to re-commence his job which he started last week in Seattle.

However, McVay decided early this week that Wolford will commence, although he didn’t inform any this decision until shortly before kickoff. However, Goff cleared that this disappointment did not hamper the relation between them.

“We are able to disagree”, Goff said. He explained that they are two mature men who can disagree on some matter, but this does not mean it is the end of the world. The most important as per Goff is that the team wins. McVay is the head coach and has to take a responsive decision. Moreover, it was last week, and now it’s time to move on. He beautifully explained how, by not communicating, sometimes negativity could fill the place. So we should always share.

Wolford will still appear at Green Bay with the Rams, but he will not step on the field. Veteran Blake Bortles is going to be Goff’s backup against Packers. He also returned to the Rams in week 17 after Goff got injured. Moreover, third beginner quarterback Bryce Perkin will also be joining.

Wolford was very excited to face the Packers in the next playoff at Seattle, but he says it is just bad timing. He will be fully prepared for the next opportunity.
