Getafe defeated in La Liga as Barcelona grabbed victory with Lionel Messi

Lionel Messi missed the opportunity for a field goal on Thursday when Barcelona resisted a delayed fight back from Getafe to gain 5-2 and secured his position in the competition by being at the topmost position of la Liga. A penalty to Antoine Griezman was suspended, although Messi won twice and is expected to have had a third in injury time in camp Nou. Antoine Griezman finished an easy victory at the end. Ronald Koeman said that he is the finest as he never lets himself from diminishing. No one can notice his fall in concentration. Koeman wishes that he stays in for a long duration.

Last weekend, athletic Bilbao was defeated to give way to Copa DelRey. Barca is searching and aiming for the double; although they are points lagging behind Atlántico Madrid, they are still confident about having a game in hand.

Atlántico managed to achieve straight victories for the first time since January by putting aside Huesca by 2-0 previously. There is no limit or doubt of mistake to witness the interesting fight for the championship as Real Madrid also waved Cadiz on Wednesday.  No other leading trio of Spain seems to have been overblown by a wonderful few days away from the field. It says Atlántico, Real Madrid, and Barcelona register for the European Super League on Sunday, which became a huge controversy. The strong involvement of real Madrid and Barca as part of the project where all other teams along with Atlántico withdrew from the competition would affect the structure of European football.

Getafe got angered with anxiousness in the last 20 minutes when the substitute, Ronald Araujo, walked on the ankle of Enesunalwho managed to grab a penalty to raise the hope of the visitors.  But Barcelona withdrew with twice delayed goals, Araujo securing himself by running to a corner from Messi, who missed his opportunity to score his third by offering Griezmann his opening.

With the goals of Yannick Carrasco and Angel Correa, Atletico Madrid had previously managed to escalate back to the top of the table.
