Full squads of eight teams in IPL 2021 Auction

The IPL 2021 Auction has recently taken place. There are big stories that have been thrown up in the 14th edition of the IPL auction. This is regarded as the one which is among the most expensive buys in the IPL history. There are 57 total number of players who have been sold at the IPL auction along with 22 professionals from overseas.

There are a large number of players who have been earning themselves good IPL contracts. Among them Chris Morris took the privilege with the bid of Rs. 16.25 crores by the RR or Rajasthan Royals. His bidding amount is considered as the highest in the history of the IPL. giving a close competition is Kyle Jamieson, who is the all-rounder of New Zealand. He was taken up for Rs. 15 crore by the Royal Challengers Bangalore. This was followed by Glenn Maxwell, who was also taken by RCB or Royal Challengers Bangalore at a great price of Rs. 14.25 crore. Glenn Maxwell also had a very ordinary season in the  last year and this year luck is by his side. 

There are a total of 57 players who were sold in the auction that includes 22 players from overseas. There is a list of players in the eight teams who are taken by the respective teams in the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League. 

Chennai Super Kings – This team is the three times champion and has made several bids in the IPL auction. The team ended up with the following players- Krishnappa Gowtham for Rs. 9.25 crores, Moen Ali for Rs. 7 crore, Cheteshwar Pujara for Rs. 50 lakh, C Hari Nishanth for Rs. 20 lakh, Harishankar Reddy for Rs 20 lakh, K Bhagath Varma for Rs 20 lakh.

Mumbai Indians- This team is the five times champion Adam Milne for Rs 3.2 crore, Nathan Coulter-Nile for Rs 5 crore, Piyush Chawla for Rs 2.4 crore, James Neesham for Rs 50 lakh, Yudhvir Charak for Rs. 20 lakh, Marco Jansen for Rs. 20 lakh, Arjun Tendulkar for Rs. 20 lakh

Royal Challengers Bangalore- This team had spent most extravagantly in the auction of the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League. Let us look at their buys Glenn Maxwell for Rs. 14.25 crore, Sachin Baby for Rs. 20 lakh, R. Patidar for Rs 20 lakh, M. Azharuddeen for Rs 20 lakh, Kyle Jamieson for Rs 15 crores, Daniel Christian for Rs 4.80 crores, S. Prabhudessai for Rs 20 lakh, K.S. Bharat for Rs 20 lakh. 

Rajasthan Royals- Rajasthan Royals is the 2008 champions who have also spent a huge amount in the IPL auction. They acquired the most expensive player in the history of the IPL Chris Morris at a whopping price of Rs. 16.25 crore, Shivam Dube for Rs 4.40 crore, Chris Morris for Rs. 16.25 crore, Mustafizur Rahman for Rs. 1 crore, Chetan Sakariya for Rs. 1.20 crore, KC Cariappa for Rs. 20 lakh, Liam Livingstone for Rs. 75 lakh, Kuldip Yadav for Rs 20 lakh, Akash Singh for Rs 20 lakh. 

Punjab Kings- KingsXI Punjab went to the auction with the highest salary of Rs. 53.2 crore and they also got nine of the players. Their buys are Dawid Malan for Rs 1.5 crore, Jhye Richardson for Rs 14 crore, Shahrukh Khan for Rs. 5.25 crore, Riley Meredith for Rs 8 crore, Moises Henriques for Rs 4.20 crore, Jalaj Saxena for Rs 30 lakh, Utkarsh Singh for Rs 20 lakh, F. Allen for Rs 75 lakh, S. Kumar for Rs 20 lakh. 

Delhi Capitals- Steven Smith who is the former captain of the Rajasthan Royals was also netted by Delhi Capitals at a whopping price of Rs. 2.2 crore and at the same time added new eight pliers to the Delhi squad. Their buys are Steve Smith for Rs 2.20 crore, Umesh Yadav for a lumpsum amount of Rs 1 crore, R. Patel for Rs 20 lakh, Vishnu Vinod for Rs 20 lakh, Lukman Meriwala for Rs 20 lakh, M Siddharth for Rs 20 lakh, T. Curran for Rs 5.25 crore, Sam Billings for Rs 2 crore.

Kolkata Knight Riders- KKR also added new eight names to their list. Some of their buys are as Shakib Al Hasan for Rs 3.20 crore, Sheldon Jackson for Rs 20 lakh, Vaibhav Arora for Rs 20 lakh, Karun Nair for Rs 50 lakh, Harbhajan Singh for Rs 2 crore, Ben Cutting for Rs 75 lakh, Venkatesh Iyer for Rs 20 lakh, Pawan Negi for Rs 50 lakh. 

Sunrisers Hyderabad- SRH got only three of the players at the auction. Jagadeesha Suchith for Rs. 30 lakh, Kedar Jadhav for Rs 2 crore, Mujeeb-ur-Rahman for Rs 1.50 crore.
