“Dee-Das” makes India proud by winning the gold medal in the archery world cup

On Sunday, Deepika kumara and Atanu das, who is the newly web couple, won individual gold medals on stage one of the archery world cut, which is currently in progress. They got married last year on 30^thJune. They got easily qualified for the finals of the archery world cup after their individual victory in the recurve women’s and men’s events.

Deepika kumara, who is the preceding world number one champion, claimed her individual world cup gold for the third time by defeating Alejandra Valencia of Mexico with 7-3. Atanu das surpassed Daniel Castro, who is the latest Spanish world cup champion. Das grabbed his world cup medal by 6-4 against Daniel Castro. After two years of courtship, the duo got married and is well acquainted with what each other are capable of and their preferences. He said that they could travel, train, compete and win together.

After almost two years, the international event returned with an exceptional finish of India’s recure archers’ best every world cup. The conclusion was embedded with two individuals and one team winning the gold medal for India after such a long time. In 2009, Jayanta Talukdar was the last person who got his victory in Croatia. Ever since the victory of Atanu das is recorded as India’s best-ever individual recurve men’s result.

Deepika kumara said that she is glad and nervous at the same time as it had been a long time since she shot in the finals. That provides her confidence and forces her to display the best of her performances. India began its journey with the women’s team, including Ankita Bhakat, Komalika bari, and Deepika kumari. They managed to grab a first-team gold after seven years when they gave an unprecedented challenge to Mexico by 5-4 in a challenging shoot-off. The duo performance of Ankita Bhakat and Atanu das resulted in a mixed pair bronze that disappointed the USA’s top players with 6-2 and played another counterattack at the sports complex Los Arcos. In the second set, Ankita shot two of the three 10s, which Das following up in the third set with two 10s which led to the defeat of the USA.   However, the bagging of the two individual gold medals by Dee-das, who are currently regarded as the country’s top archery couples, is considered to be the real icing on the cake in the whole archery game.

After almost two years, the Indian duo returned to the world cup and is yet to confirm an Olympic team quota, dragged 2-4 after the third set.  The offshoot included Ankita, who started with a nine. Kamalika, who is 19 years old, relinquished with an eight. Deepika was left to rest against her longtime rival, Aida roman, the silver medalist in the London Olympics of 2012. Deepika shot a perfect ten, whereas Aida shot an eight where she needed a nine to extend the offshoot.
