Prithvi Shaw was worried about his technique after getting dropped in Australia
According to the youngster of Indian Cricket, Prithvi Shaw, he was extremely worried about his technique after being dropped in the Australia series before he roared back to form in the domestic cricket. It was all because of the alteration of his few changes that made in his game. Prithvi Shaw, who is just 21, was being dropped after he made a twin failure at Adelaide in the opening test last December.
Well, the Mumbai batsman is also known to dominate the Vijay Hazare Trophy like no one else in the history of the tournament by making a whopping 827b runs in his eight matches. Everyone knows that Shaw made an amazing 72 runs off 38 balls in the first match of the season in the Delhi Capitals, which was against the well-known Chennai Super Kings.
According to the youngster, after Shaw being dropped from the Test side in Australia after the first test, he started worrying about his own techniques on why he was getting bowled. He also mentioned that if the mistake was minor, he wanted that to be minimized. He always wants to work on that mistake there itself. Shaw explained the entire matter in front of the press after Delhi Capitals made a fantastic win over Punjab Kings on Sunday night.
Prithvi Shaw smashed 32 runs in just 17 balls against the match with Punjab Kings. He managed to hit three fours and two sixes. He also claimed that in his initial movements, he worked well and got more stable and ready before the bowler has bowled.
After Prithvi had returned from Australia, he consistently worked with his coach Prashant Shetty and Pravin Amre before heading to the Vijay Hazare Trophy, and it worked to be quite well. Prithvi made sure toti to play a natural game in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, but he also made some minor technical changes. The changes that were made seem to be going well.
Prithvi also added that he did not get a lot of practice for the IPL matches. It is having a T20 format. But he also confirmed that he got some good practice sessions with Pravin Amre, Ricky Ponting and Prashant Shetty.
He is considered as one of the talented batsmen of the Delhi Capitals and the head coach of this franchise. Ricky Ponting had given him the entire freedom to express himself.
Shaw also said that Ponting always takes him to go and play the matches freely without even thinking much of the things. When given to any player, this kind of freedom makes him confident and plays good cricket as well.
He also added that partnerships are pretty crucial in the initial first six overs. Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw made plans about all this by having targets and at the same time looking at the scoreboards prior to going to bat. The initial six overs are very important when this kind of wicket is not the perfect one to bat in the Powerplay.
The last day all the IPL followers witnessed Dhawan struck an amazing 92 as the Delhi Capitals managed to make short work of the huge run-target of 196 runs for a six-wicket win over the Punjab Kings.
